    Self Muting


    Every time I get on a Zoom call, my computer self mutes off and on. When I unmute, them it takes time for me to be heard on the call. Then it self mutes again.

    Realtek continually self muting

    Hi Katie,

    Thank you for providing us the troubleshooting steps that you have performed.

    I suggest you to connect your headphones to a different PC and check.

    Run the Hardware and Device troubleshooter by following the steps below:

    • Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
    • Click on troubleshooting, then click on “Hardware and sound”.
    • Under Hardware and sound, click on “hardware and devices”.
    • A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

    Also, try to download the latest drivers from the Manufacturer's website.

    Self muting microphone

    I have a new HP slimline with i7 processor ,new modem,new webcam. The mic started self muting about a month ago so I bought the new webcam since I had an older one. No luck. I have tried every thing I found as a fix but nothing works. I can set the mic
    on and minute or two later its off again. It will not stay on in spite of research and trial and error for endless hours. I have found that a great many people have this problem! What good is having Cortana on your desktop if you cannot use it. This problem
    needs to be fixed!!!!!!!!!! Is there any thing new on this intractable problem????
