Windows 10: Selling old win 7 PC with win 10 pro on it. Really need guidance.

In 2011 I bought an OEM laptop with Windows 7 home on it,
1) did online upgrade purchase to win 7 pro.
2) did free upgrade to win 8
3) did free win 8.1 upgrade
4) did free win 10 upgrade
5) kept upgrading to version 1803.

Now I,m selling it license and all. Having a working copy of 10 pro is the main attraction. I’d like to do an equivalent of a PC reset, but with so many upgrades and such old PC am afraid it will not work. Afraid of drivers etc. I also want to try to “erase/wipe” as much of my own account/data as possible. After searching I’m more confused how to go about it. Any and all guidance would be great.

windows and programs, not apps, are on ssd c disk. Data is on d hdd drive. I think I can wipe the HDD ok. No idea how to have a working OOBE ssd.

Win 7 to win 10

When win 7 pro key from 1 pc is used to activate win 10 pro on another pc. The old win 7 pro key will deactivate itself or still able to use on the old pc activated. That mean win 7 and win 10 pro able to use at the same time activated with same key.

 

Fresh Install win 10 pro on OEM win 10 home

I just bough a new PC Dell XPS with Windows 10 Home edition.

My old Computer Have Window 10 Pro ( upgrade From win 7 Pro bought from store (i.e i have win 7 key for it)) I would like to use Pro edition for my new PC.

I plan to format the new computer and remove any partition if exist, then install win 10 pro.

My question:

1. I would like to Transfer Old PC win 10 pro to New PC. how to do it?

the win 10 pro in old computer will be remove.

2. if I would like to restore back the Window 10 Home how to do it (maybe when I want to sell this pc)

I would like to do the same to the laptop but The win 7 pro key has not been upgrade to win 10 pro.

Please let me know how to create media to install

Is the media to create specific to single machine? (i.e need to download 2 x for 2 PC)

Wins 10 pro becoming wins 7 pro

I am using wins 10 pro, but during end user activation it shows wins 7 pro

Any suggestion?
