Windows 10: semi colon at end of email address

    Semi Colon appears at end of e-mail address without being typed in

    I am trying to send an e-mail but when I type in the e-mail address, there is a semi-colon that automatically appears after

    xxxx.@...ca

    How do I get rid of that

    Dear Nathaniel Mon,

    Thank you for replying to my plight. I am using the windows mail app, and as you suggested I have downloaded and run the windows update trouble-shooter with no luck.

    I can receive emails OK but when I try to reply, a semi colon is added to the contacts email address followed by a notice without an error message other than it advises me to check the email address is correct. I recently tried to contact my local council,
    and clicked on their contacts page and when I wanted to send an email, the same thing happened, a semi colon was added to the address and was not sent due to an incorrect address. My contacts addresses are shown without the semi colon but if you try to use
    the address, once again the semi colon appears. If you try to remove it, the whole address is removed. The same thing happens if I type the address in manually.

    email problems with windows 10

    Windows 10 adds a semi colon to my contact's email addresses and then does not recognise the address when I try to send an email.

    I need to remove the semi colon. Any ideas please?
