Windows 10: Send much higher than received when running Oculus VR virtual reality.

When I try to run a game specifically using a VR headset, I see the Send amount is much higher than received. This makes everything laggy and bad. When I run any other game/application, there is no issue with the Received amount of internet. I've already attempted to close all other programs that may be consuming my machines power, raised the priority, and lower in-game settings to reduce lag. VR nowadays is very internet consuming. I play VR on an Oculus Quest 2/ Meta Quest 2 and use the Oculus PC app to connect. I also use Air-Link which can cause lag. I can only reach 4.7mbps Received, the

Windows 10 + Oculus Rift = Virtual Reality Gaming Awesomeness

Made-for-VR games will leverage DirectX 12 to unleash the full capabilities of new Windows 10 graphics hardware for top performance and the fastest frame rates. Simply put, Windows 10 is the best platform for playing games on the Oculus Rift.

You can play Xbox One games on the Oculus Rift. We’ve already shared that you’ll be able to stream your Xbox One games to your Windows 10 PC or tablet. But we’re also bringing the same Xbox One streaming capability to the Oculus Rift too – a feature that’s only possible courtesy of Windows 10. You’ll be able to play your favorite Xbox One games like Halo, Forza, Sunset Overdrive and more right on the Oculus Rift’s VR screen.

Every Oculus Rift will include an Xbox One controller at launch. With the new Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows that we unveiled last week included, you can play games on the Rift using the Xbox One controller wirelessly right out of the box.

VR headset manufacturers launch the Global Virtual Reality Association

With the virtual reality market poised to take off, several VR headset manufacturers are creating a nonprofit to foster the industry and develop best practices.

The founding members of the Global Virtual Reality Association (GVRA) include Acer Starbreeze, Google, HTC VIVE, Facebook's Oculus, Samsung and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

"The goal of the Global Virtual Reality Association is to promote responsible development and adoption of VR globally," the group said in a release. "The association's members will develop and share best practices, conduct research, and bring the international VR community together as the technology progresses."
