Windows 10: "Send to .Zip" command in File Explorer doesn't work

The "Send to .Zip" command in File Explorer doesn't work for one of my folders nor for the files in it. I get no error message nor any other clue that it is working or not. Other files and folders zip up OK, and the one that doesn't work did work in the past. I'm on Win11 V24H2.Any thoughts on why it won't zip this particular folder will be greatly appreciated.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

.zip can't be set to File Explorer

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Type Default programs
  in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Click on choose default programs by file type
  
• 
  Select .zip
  and select File Explorer

Zip file in File Explorer

As stated in my post, these zips work fine in 7zip. However, that is a workaround and not a fix.

To take this a step further: the native zip utility works fine (Right click->Send to->Compressed Folder). The files zip up just fine and can be extracted by 7zip, but still cannot be extracted by the native client.
