    Hey! I was wondering if anyone know how to send a message over the network to a pc?
    On the same network ofc, I tried this on my NUC "Net send Strix_V3 hello" and it didn`t show up anything on my laptop. I don`t want any third party software.

    And, I`ve set up my NUC as a file server with a 1TB external hard drive, and I have shared the two partitions over the network, but when my stepdad is gonna acssess some of his files he get a message that the owner of the server needs to give him rights or something. How can I make my stepdad have the exact same rights as I have? *Smile

    If sending a txt message fails (due to network, etc...) message just sits in outbox

    That is what you get with branded (at&t?) phones. It will take just as long for an error message to appear. Maybe you rather stare at the beautiful girl sitting next to you.

    What phone??? Consider the outbox icon as an error message.

    Try just putting the words of the message in quotes and not the whole command.
    Saying that, I thought 'net send' was now obsolete. I think it's the 'msg' command instead now.

    net send hasn't been supported since XP. I believe you will need a third party solution.
