Windows 10: Sending a paper cut command to a ESC/POS Printer after printing a .txt File

I made a system using C# and WooCommerce Rest API for a TakeAway Website to print a Ticket after a User orders products on a Website.

I am using the EPSON TMT20 II Printer to print the Data. I am using the Printer as a Network Printer because I have to and printing Tickets is no Problem, I only have to cut the Paper after successfully printing a Ticket which is the Problem I have.

I am sending the Data via CMD Commands

example: copy /b "D:...\order_n.txt" "\\Servername\Printername" -> prints the Data I saved in a .txt File

is it possible to append the paper cut command to the .txt File that I am printing or is there another, more efficient way to cut the paper via C#?

According to the Documentation GS V 48 and GS V 0 are the commands that can be used to cut the paper

I tried using the RawPrinterHelper Class and sending the Cut Command Data as Bytes but it returns me Windows Error 1801 or rather I can't access the Printer in that way. I also tried to append the command the File I sent to the printer.

Any help would be appreciated! if I haven't been detailed enough please let me know! Thanks in Advance

Out of Paper error but printer has paper

Yes to both. The thing is, when this happens, the printer is out of paper. So we replace the paper and all of the Windows 7 machines go "oh, ok, the printer has paper again" and start printing.

Windows 10 though doesn't. It might start printing again in 10-15 min, or it might never until either the PC or printer is restarted. It seems restarting the printer sends out a signal it is good and Win10 acknowledges, but Win10 won't acknowledge the "i
have paper" signal.

I would like win10 to quit trying to be so smart and just print it. It is a network printer so the server is holding the spooled data anyway if the printer is down. Why is Windows 10 stopping it from printing my jobs?

I'm sorry you're having trouble printing.

It really sounds like your printer has a jam or something blocking the flow of paper through the printer.

If you go to print a document and you hear it printing, but no paper is moving, then it's likely printing directly onto the paper roller inside your printer. This can get quite dirty with printer ink.

I suggest you have a good look inside your paper tray and inside your printer near the roller feed and make sure nothing is stuck there (like a paperclip or anything similar) that is preventing the paper from going in. Also, remove all the paper and realign
it into a neat stack before putting it back into the printer and also make sure there's not too much paper being put in. Try around 10 sheets first and no more and see if it prints then.

You could try turning the printer upside down and see if anything falls out of the printer that shouldn't be there, but please be careful doing this. Only do it if you feel comfortable doing it.

If none of these suggestions work, let me know and we'll try something else.

 

Error - Printing on Network printer

We have 4 printers on our Windows print server. The server was migrated from win2k3 to 2k8 on friday. 3/4 printers are working great, the other is having issues. When trying to print a test page to it, it gets a job status of Error - Printing.

When sending a small word document to it, it sends it to the printer, the queue is empty but nothing prints. If I goto the printer itself, it doesnt show any errors and I can print things such as information sheets and diagnostic files just fine.

All four printers are the same model, all 4 have a static IP. I can ping the printer successfully. I've tried printing from both an XP machine and the print server itself. I tried removing and adding the printer on the print server. And lastly, uunplugged the printer for 30 seconds, plugged it back in.

Any ideas?
