Windows 10: Sennihser 350 BT no longer able to pair to windows

After updating to Windows 11 my Sennihiser HD 350 BT bluetooth headphones no longer pair with my machine. I've done everything, updated/disabled USB drivers, reverted back to windows 10, rolled back to previous versions of windows 10, and been on the phone with windows support, for hours and hours. I've Installed an old version of windows 10. Nobody knows the solution. They also won't pair with my work machine running windows 11.When I connect the headset using a USB, my machine thinks that they are a keyboard. They pair fine with my Android device.

BT pairing problem

I am trying to pair my E65 to my laptop using Nokia Connection Manager (NCM). this is what i do:

1. open Nokia Connection Manager, click on BT connection and proceed with the steps until prompted to enter PIN.

2. I then enter the PIN in NCM and the phone and the pairing is done. I checked on the Toshiba BT Manager and manage to see the pairing listed in the program.

3. i then disable the BT radio on both the phone and laptop and re-enable it again.

4. Then launch PC Suite and click Get Connected button to get connected but couldnt connect (BT either set as hidden or shown to all, still fails).

5. I checked on Toshiba BT Manager and didnt see the pairing.

It seems like once i disable the radio, the pairing is gone even though i set the pairing as authorised in the E65.

how do i set the BT pairing so that it becomes permanent, without having to setup a new pairing everytime i re-enable BT radio?

The first step I would recommend you do is ensure you're running the latest version of PC Suite available for your device.

I don't have an E65, and this may be a model specific error which I won't be able to help you further on, but I have a Nokia N70 which I've paired successfully via BT without any issues.

Once you do connect is the connection reliable ? Are you able to transfer data between the PC and phone without problems or does the connection drop ?

Do you use any other Bluetooth devices without problems on your PC ? Do you use any other Bluetooth devices without problems on your phone ? (e.g. headset). This is to help try to localise whether the issue lies with the phone or your PC or both.

Between steps 2 and 3 do you do any actions such as browse the contents of the phone via BT or attempt a backup via BT ? (Note - a backup will take some time if you have a lot of data on your phone !)

It *MAY* be that because the connection hasn't really been "used" then the connection details aren't stored - if this is the case then transferring some data might force the phone and PC to keep details of the connection in place.

A other pointers to also look at are :

-> When switching Bluetooth on between your phone and PC I would recommend you always make the connection visible and not hidden.

-> The way I've found best to do pair a PC and phone (it works reliably for me) is to enable BT on my PC, PC Suite then picks up I have BT enabled and then attempts to connect to my phone. For me it isn't an immediate process - between enabling BT on my PC
and PC Suite then "finding" my phone and pairing it takes 2-3 minutes.

 

Reconnect to an already paired BT device (e.g. headphones)


I have a Windows 10 laptop with Bluetooth and I have Sony BT headphones already paired to that laptop. I use the headphones with different BT source devices. They remember the last device they were connected to. Switching them to another BT source requires active action from the user. In case of Windows 10, I have to open Action Pane, click on the Connect shortcut (which opens a Connect pane), find my headphones in the list and ask Windows to connect to them.

Now, my question is: it there any way to do the same thing without having to go through Action pane? I.e. is there any way to open the Connect pane directly (a keyboard shortcut preferably)? Or maybe there's an old-style (Windows 7-style) window that would allow me to reconnect to a paired device?
