Windows 10: Sent mail being marked as SPAM in MAIL app

So I sent an email message I went to the sent folder to confirm that it was sent but couldn't see it. I then went to Gmail in the chrome browser and saw that it was in the SPAM folder and google was asking if the mail is spam I clicked NO and then everything was normal and the mail was sent normally. However, this is happening all the time with all the mail that I try to send.

Someone said the mail may be being blocked by the sender but I sent an email to another email account that I own and the same thing happened. So I'm guessing its something to do with the configuration of the Windows 10 Mail app OR google but I am not sure. Has anybody else experienced this and if so do you know how to resolve it?

Windows 10 Mail not marking emails as read

1. Go to mail app, Setting > Reading Pane > "Mark item as read" section.
   
2. There you can select how you want the mail app to know when any mail is read, either by:
   
   • marking it as read on selection change, or
     
   • marking it as read if mail is viewed by more than 5 (or any) seconds
