    separate windows 10 password and Microsoft account password?


    hi, so I'd really like my Microsoft account password and my windows 10 password to be two separate things, but every time I try to change my password in settings it redirects me to my windows account password. Is there any way to make these two separate passwords?

    Forgot Windows 10 password...

    If it's a Microsoft account, you should be able to change the password via another computer at live.com and the password should also change to match on the computer (obviously make sure it has internet access first). The password is verified online during login.

    you know when you boot up your computer... and yeha i have more than one account and I forgot the password to one of them.

    is there anyway for me to get in to the account? or the account will be perminant lock if i dont remember password?
