Windows 10: Seperate number row in on-screen keyboard with swipe typing support

Currently, i can either use the default layout without dedicated number row and have swipe typing, or use traditional layout with dedicated number row and miss swipe typing. This makes both of them pretty unproductive for me. Ideally, I would have preferred default layout with a separate number row on top, and some extra symbols on long pressing alphabet keys like the gboard does on android. I would be more than happy though with just the number row for now. Is there some way to have it? Seems a big pretty big oversight by MS if they were serious in trying to implement a good touchscreen keybo

Swipe Typing

I was happily using swipe typing on the on-screen keyboard until I wasn't. I don't know why I am no longer able to swipe type. Can anyone tell me how to get it back? (Win 10)

I issue occurs all the time. If "type as I swipe through letters" feature is turned on for the en-US keyboard, and I swipe and then press space bard, the keyboard freezes. Any characters I type do not show up. To unfreeze, i need to press hardware back

Tried this suggestion, did not solve the problem.
I suspect that the problem is with the code of the en-US keyboard, specifically its input method with the "type as i swipe" feature.
By the way this problem does not occur on the official GA version released by TMobile (I checked on my wife's phone). It only shows up on the Tech preview build on my phone (same carrier).

On the touch keyboard, there is a button at the top left, it looks like a keyboard with a gear. Touch that, and you'll see three rows of buttons. The top row is the different keyboard layouts.

From left to right, they are:

1. Normal touch keyboard

2. Mobile/swipe keyboard

3. Handwriting panel

4. Full-size keyboard layout (replicating a physical desktop keyboard)
