Windows 10: Series 2 Elite controller/ Using Accessories app, cannot update system to configure controller

I have recently gotten a series 2 elite controller and I cannot get the Xbox Accessories app to update to get to the configuration part of this? I have gone through the Windows system update and ticked all the boxes for additional microsoft product updates and it still says that I need to get the May 2019 update and my config button is grayed out. Has anyone solved this I seem to be running into a bunch of people saying that there was a Windows update that basically broke the software? Any help would be appreciated, such a nice controller I wish I could use it to its fullest sooner.

Xbox Elite controller is not recognized in Xbox accessories app.

Hear us, it is a massive problem on all Xbox Elite controllers on Windows 10 with Windows Anniversary update.

My controller works on Xbox console, it has the latest firmware update (checked on Xbox console) it works in games on Windows 10 itself, without the possibility to configure it in Xbox Accessories app. It is the problem between Windows 10 xbox accessories app,
elite controller driver and firmware.

 

Xbox Elite controller is not recognized in Xbox accessories app.

My configuration:

Xbox Elite controller driver version 10.0.15063.0 (17.03.2017)

Xbox Elite controller firmware 2.3.2388.0

Xbox Accessories app version 300.1711.9002.0

Windows version 10.0.15063.786 (Windows 10 Fall Creators Update)
