Serious question about realtek audio drivers ???

so guys over here MSI USA - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more a so called new driver has been posted for my audio realtek high def, but whats so wired about this is that it is a lower version of the audio driver i got from realtek this month. when they had no drivers posted, my version is this 6.0.1.7541 , the latest i do belive on realtek site released last month , now they have driver version 6.0.1.7534 if i recall this has been the one that has been on there for sometime but looks like they changed the dates on it and re released it. So on this note what should i do should i take a step back, or stay with the latest from realtek, will i gain anything from going to there version?. On the plus side i did get the newest ethernet drivers which was nice of them.

    :)

Weird Realtek Audio Issue (Windows 10)

"The only time this issue occurs is when its using the Realtek drivers."

If the wireless speakers or headphones are using a different driver, the Realtek HD Audio is not functioning

when the wireless devices are connected.

It sounds like a bad connection somewhere in the Realtek audio circuit. Possibly something simple like a bad

connection at the speakers, or something more serious like a broken 'trace' on the motherboard.

Or the Realtek audio chip on the motherboard is faulting. Possibly dry solder joints causing a bad connection ?

    - I'm not sure why Windows Audio Endpoint would have to be restarted. Maybe it stops when the connection

is lost from moving the machine while using Realtek HD Audio with the inbuilt speakers or headphone jack ?

    "I don't mind if I have to get a replacement driver. "

[EDIT: (Re-read. I missed that you had reinstalled the Realtek drivers (details get lost in blocks of text).

    - You said you reinstalled the drivers, so I guess you are speaking of the Realtek audio. I think if the chip

were faulty you may not be happy about the cost of repair. ]

  3. audio skipping

My audio was terrible on just about everything. the drivers that ship with the booklet 3g for the Realtek soundcard are very old, so I went to the realtek website and downloaded the latest drivers for it, and all my skipping and audio issues went away.

Just do a search for REALTEK HD AUDIO MANAGER, and you should be able to trakc down the driver in short order

Similar story with Asus. The latest driver they posted is .7525, yet Windows 10 itself installed .7535. I have since just grabbed newer ones off of the Microsoft Update Catalog site, now using .7576. Personally I would use the latest one, not older ones from the motherboard site, unless of course the motherboard one has specially added features or a custom control panel you like.

  6. Just go to catalog.update.microsoft.com - You do have to use Internet Explorer, because the site requires an addon named MicrosoftUpdateCatalogWebControl.dll that other browser can't use. Then you can search for "realtek audio" and sort by "last updated."

Looks like the latest one is now .7580.

  8. Serious question about realtek audio drivers ???

    Welcome.

There are also even newer Realtek ethernet drivers there that restore a lot of driver settings (I noticed the one Windows 10 itself installed lacked Receive Side Scaling, e.g.).
