    Seriously Microsoft??

Service contract have always been in place for software, be that OS and/or apps. Generally along the line of indemnifying the company:
There had been no specifics provided for the illegal/harmful activities, nor had been there any "threat" of enforcement by the company in the past. This had been drastically changed in Microsoft's new service agreement as of August 01, 2015, quote:
I understand that this might be just the "new standard" for Microsoft with little or no actual enforcement, but it also seems that they can enforce this based on all of the information Microsoft will collect about Windows 10 users, including Office365 and a slew of other services.

I've got a good chuckle about the code of conduct number ix., quote:
Competition would be bad, wouldn't it Microsoft? *Roflmao2*Roflmao2*Roflmao2

    :)

  2. payment methods

    Go to https://commerce.microsoft.com/PaymentHub/help

    Hope this helps! =)

The problem is if you're in another country, Microsoft creates another account through the store. So I have a "Store account in US and Spain". All my CC are in the US Store, when I travel I'm screwed.

I've been using TunnelBear on my PC to purchase things from the US Store (online), since I don't have any finance in Spain.

    Seriously Microsoft??

I don't see anything bad in there...

Don't harm children..ok so that allows MS to bring child porn users to justice with the full weight of the law and about time too.

That also extends to online abuse so I see that as a win win..why you don't is beyond me.

Sorry but the world is changing and the amount of abuse being done and people just hiding from prosecution is just silly now. God forbid someone should take steps to protect themselves in this time of change.

The only people this affects are those that have something to worry about like child abusers..should all die in the in the pits of hell as the scum they are.

Microsoft have as have many other companies gone to the authorities to report people as they are suppose to...Is this some sort of revelation? I mean seriously you can't be that naive.

But what is more amusing is people complaining about Microsoft collecting data...which they could have been doing for the last what 20+ years without telling you anyway and then you all go and post you're entire lives on facebook or which ever other site you visit....Ironic to complain about MS.

How is It I wonder how they knew so few were using the start menu in windows.....

get you're tin foil hats out as frankly you are all insane if you think Intelligence services haven't collected you're online life already. You could always turn you're phone off...if you actually think that would make a difference..hardly a difficult task to listen in on a phone turned off.

Don't commit a crime don't break the law and what do you have to worry about? nothing.

Hell I don't care my government has done a background check on me so in depth I felt like I got an anal prob and the things they knew scared the hell out of me, I'm talking things that no one else knew and I'd never told...swines.

The question is who gave the authority to Microsoft to enforce "general social norms"? Even if some of the listed activities are objectionable to everyone, do you really need a software company policing their end users?

Companies don't report to authorities without an NSL, that included Microsoft at least until now. Not every company has the same level of service agreement in place, here's a quote from Apple's:
The chances are that Google have a similar service agreement...

Have you looked at the TOS for this forum, lately? It's really not that different from Microsoft's.

The Services probably refers to Microsoft's online services like Microsoft Accounts, Bing (Rewards program linked to Microsoft Account), Skype, etc. It could mean Office 365, but how would they be able to enforce these rules if that was the case? By reading over biology essays or something like that? The reason I pointed out that it probably has to do with the online services is that almost every online service has these rules. Google, Facebook, Twitter, and the list goes on. For example, if Google catches sending child porn through G-Mail, then 'll probably be behind bars the next day. Here is Facebook's introduction to the Safety Team: https://www.facebook.com/notes/faceb..._fb_noscript=1

These terms are nothing new and have been in place for MS's online services for quite some time. These are generally not "moral" terms, they are legal terms. Spamming is illegal. Using OneDrive to distribute kiddie porn is illegal. Running a scam or defrauding people is illegal. Circumventing copyright protections is illegal (at least in the US). Cyber-bullying and hate crimes are illegal.

All I see there is illegal activities, and they only apply to the TOS of the services, not the OS.
