Windows 10: Server 2016 fails to install any cumulative update 0x8007002 - Driver issue

Main: Server 2016 fails to install SEP or OCT cumu update with - "We couldn't complete the updates, undoing changes, don't turn off your computer" when restarting, it gets updates from a 2019 WSUS I run. All other servers received the same update with no issue, all are 2016s as well. I have ran through all the guides I get checking every error in event viewer and I now I am at the point where I am browsing through the CBS logs to see what it could be.Restrictions:This is on a private network with no internet access and I cannot put software on it or even take snippets of it to bring over to th

Windows updates are failed in Windows Server 2016

We are using Windows Server 2016 for additional AD. And We are tried to install windows update in server. But Update Failed to install. I had try to lot of steps,
The below error is showed ,
• 2019-12 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB4530689) - Error 0x80073701

Please provide best solution.

 

Cannot install Windows Cumulative Update 2023-07 on Windows Server 2016

I am currently trying to install the Cumulative Update 2023-07 Cumulative Update on one of my AWS Servers, which runs the OS - Windows Server 2016. It is getting install in the "Windows Update" tab but when I restart the Server. It prompts "We couldn't complete the updates undoing changes" and later under "Update history" it shows Failed to Install.

I tried running the Windows Troubleshooter to fix this issue, but it didn't solve the error and It is showing : "Potential Windows Update Database Error detected". To fix this troubleshooter error, I have tried different solutions provided over Microsoft forums, like flushing the software distribution folder and resetting the catroot2 folder. but still it is not fixed.

I even checked the WindowsUpdate.log file and found some error and even checked the CBS logs and It is giving the error Error CBS Startup: Failed to process advanced operation queue, startupPhase: 0. A rollback transaction will be created. [HRESULT = 0x800f0922 - CBS_E_INSTALLERS_FAILED].

I have tried doing the OS restore by using the install.wim file provided in Windows Server 2016 iso file and running the command : DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:G\Sources\install.wim /LimitAccess.

But still the Update failed to install. Can you please suggest what can I do to fix this issue as we are having compliance issue if this update is not install on the server.
