    Server 2016 to Server 2022 upgrade


    Dear Support,I am trying to upgrade Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2022 and wish to keep files, settings and apps.This option is 'greyed out', leaving only 'Nothing' as the available option.Please can you advise on how to overcome this problem?Thank you,Allen

    Windows Server 2016 Upgrade

    When updating from windows server 2012 R2 to server 2016, I'm not getting the step by step procedures where you can select keep file and apps and other steps. I just get the setup screen, which after couple of minutes it display a window to select what type of windows server you want to install.

    Once selected it does a full install of windows server 2016, which re-images the C drive. Afterwards you have to re-install all your applications.

    Any suggestions on why it doesn't go through the step by step procedures.
