Windows 10: Server 2016 - Windows Update

Windows Server 2016 - 64bit OSLast Update showing in the update history - Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - March 2019 KB890830.I have tried the latest updates - kb890830-x64 , kb5014702-x64 & kb5014026-x64 which are the latest updates showing in the microsoft catalog page.I have received an error "This update is not applicable for your computer".I can do the update like this or do I need to connect the server to internet and check for updates ?In some cases, the server checks updates for more than a day and still checking for updates.Is there an alternative for this - like

Windows Server 2016 Upgrade

When updating from windows server 2012 R2 to server 2016, I'm not getting the step by step procedures where you can select keep file and apps and other steps. I just get the setup screen, which after couple of minutes it display a window to select what type of windows server you want to install.

Once selected it does a full install of windows server 2016, which re-images the C drive. Afterwards you have to re-install all your applications.

Any suggestions on why it doesn't go through the step by step procedures.

Windows updates are failed in Windows Server 2016

We are using Windows Server 2016 for additional AD. And We are tried to install windows update in server. But Update Failed to install. I had try to lot of steps,
The below error is showed ,
• 2019-12 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB4530689) - Error 0x80073701

Please provide best solution.

 

FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

They made it part of the WU client then, or it's two different things doing the same. Too bad you can't download it separately.
