Windows 10: Server and client "no internet access" after changing out wireless modem

I just replaced my wireless modem went from Netgear Nighthawk Model R7000P to Asus ZenWifi XT9. The internet comes from Spectrum who supplies the cable modem. I've put the new wireless router in the same location as the previous router and made all of the same connections. The router is then connected to a Tenda 24-port ethernet switch TEG1024G. All clients and the server are then connected to this switch. I am able to get internet just fine on all wireless devices, but the wired devices, all clients and the WindowsServer2012, show "no internet access". I can still connect fine from the cl

Wireless cable modem/router/firewall

can someone recommend me a wireless router with built in cable modem. Most of the devices ive seen are equiped with ADSL modems!

Wireless access

Okay, wondering if there is a way to use a wireless router as just a wireless access point?

Does one have to shut down DHCP?

trying to find a good guide, or someone that knows how to do this.

What my plan is, is to come out of my modem to a switch, and then down to a wireless router, and just use that as a wireless access for the internet. But when I do that, the laptop shows the wireless, but will not connect to the network, or the internet*Bang Head :banghead:

My suggestions:

Hard reset router (reset button may be hiiden inside a pinhole)

Change DNS:

Change IPv4 and IPv6 DNS Server Address in Windows

Use one from the list "Item 7. To Use Custom or Third-party DNS Server Address"

Run WifiInfoView and change router channel if nearby routers are detected on nearby channels.




Log into router and change channel if needed:





Run Wireless Wizard and update network profiles then "Test & Fix"
