Windows 10: Servers honestly idk

So I recently upgraded to fiber optics from the same exact company I already had. So I expected no changes besides it being faster until I went to go game. I have lower ping for a server in Illinois than I do in Virginia where I live so I did a bunch of research blah blah blah and then I eventually went into command prompt and typed tracert with discord. The first 3 pings were servers in Virginia, then the fourth one cuts off and the 5th to the rest were pinging in either Chicago Illinois or somewhere further. I’m not sure why my computer or router or whatever the issue is prioritizes a slow

Unable to connect to Google servers

There are cases that web content are blocked due to proxy server settings. We suggest that you remove the check mark on the the proxy server box, follow the steps below:

• Type Internet Options in the Ask me anything bar.
• Click on Connections tab.
• Click on LAN settings.
• Remove check in Proxy server box.
  

Once done, access your Google apps and check if issue persist.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server
