Windows 10: Service Host DCOM taking up all my cpu and makes my laptop heat up. Help?

I am currently running on win11. I dont know when for sure this started maybe ~1 month ago? but recently Service Host: DCOM Server Process Launcher will take up my remaining cpu. It doesn’t happen often on idle, but it will use a hefty amount of my cpu from 50% to even 90% when i open my browsers, antivirus, etc. I’ve tried following instructions from different forums, doing things like sfc /scannow and even changing my user on the laptop, but to no avail.Can someone please give a hand? It’s also concerning because the issue also causes my laptop to increase temps. Thank you!

How to fix high CPU usage of "Service host DCOM server process launcher"

Actually, after updating to windows 11, I've had a lot of problems and now after plugging in my adapter my fan speeds up to max so I've closed everything and opened task manager to see what happening and there I came to know that this service host DCOM server process launcher is taking high CPU usage and I even plugged out and seen but still the service host DCOM server process takes a lot of CPU usage so please help me solve this issue

So, it starts when I start development server from npm. And continues till next restart even when I shut down the server. And my CPU runs at 100% usage.
Why is this? And how do I fix this?

I had the exact same problem... and I got a solution!

For me, it was actually McAfee Security Centre's Firewall Core that was the issue. It was continuously updating. This was what was pushing the Service Host DCOM to use so much CPU.

Got on with the McAfee people, and a simple uninstall and reinstall solved the problem. Hope this helps someone out, as I tried other solutions to no avail and was losing hope thinking a full Windows reinstall was my only option.
