    Service Host: Devise Association Service


    Hello,

    My laptop Dell XPS 13 currently gets heated up due to Service Host: Devise Association Service constantly consuming >25% of my CPU, and north of 6/7K MB of RAM.

    I've read numerous threads and can't find anything/anyone that can fix it.


    I've run all updates for windows.


    Device:

    XPS 13 9370

    Processor: IntelR CoreTM i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99 GHz

    RAM: 16.0 GB 15.8 GB usable

    Windows 10 Pro

    Browser /connection security, hosts file and DNS service

    You're saying that Open DNS(and other services like it) house their own list of known 'bad' sites, and by using their DNS servers, it will filter out sites based on that list?

    Would you believe I was already using Open DNS servers.
    This means the hosts file is moot?

    And furthering that, if there's any bespoke sites I want to manually add, I could do it through my router directly.

    Thus I can empty my local hosts file and turn my DNS service back on?

    High Memory Usage by "Service Host: Windows Notifications User Service_3c1f5"

    For us to know if it's a faulty or outdated driver, can you send us a screenshot of associated file. Here are the steps:

    • Type in Task Manager in the search bar
    • Right-click Service Host: Windows Push Notifications User Service_3c1f5
    • Click Properties and go to the General tab
    • Send us a screenshot of the Properties
