    Service host: Diagnostic Service has my disk at 100% and makes my windows update left...


    Service host: Diagnostic Service has my disk at 100% and makes my windows update left checking for updates.

    When i end the task of Service host: Diagnostic Service mt disk goes down to about 20% and it allows me to go to settings and check for updates normally

    diagnostic service host and diagnostic system host running

    I have noticed when I turn on my computer in the morning I have diagnostic service host and diagnostic system host running and they are set to manual. Then later on in the day I have not touched anything and diagnostic system host is not running any more but the diagnostic service host is still running. Is this normal?

    The Diagnostic Policy Service is not running

    Hi,

    To resolve this issue, launch the command prompt as Admin and enter
    these:

    • Type " net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice " then press Enter.
    • Type " net localgroup Administrators /add localservice " then press Enter.
    Also, we need to make sure that the following services are started.

    1. Press Windows key
    + R.

    2. On the dialog box, type services.msc

    3. Under Services (Local)
    list, find the services: Diagnostic policy, Diagnostic Service, Diagnostic system host.

    4. Check the status of the services is started or not.

    5. If the services are not started, you can
    Right     Click a status and Start a service.

    6. Restart your computer.

    Please post back with the result for further assistance.
