  1. Service Host Local System - App Info service by netsvcs using 20-25percent cpu on idle.

Since a few days my laptop has been using 20-25% cpu on idle - service host local system1 Microsoft defender gives nothing. Offline scan, full scan - no detections.2 malwarebyte gives 0 detections - full scan including rootkit scan.3 sfc /scannow did no wonders. It even continues with no internet. GPU usage is 0 when normal/not using any gpu related app.It is the Application Info service by netsvcs that is running amok. Stopping it breaks my other apps and services. Any help please.

    :)

  2. Service Host: Windows Biometric Service and Service Host: Local System (2) high cpu usage

Service Host: Windows Biometric Service and Service Host: Local System (2) high CPU usage. I don't open many apps but this two service occupy most of my CPU availability. The CPU usage is very high and my computer always hot because of this, even after
    sleep.

Please help me to solve this!

Service Host: Local Systems running at 29.0% of CPU and above when idling.

    Hey Forums,

I'm on a Surface Pro 3 i5 with 8gb of ram. I upgraded to Windows 10 two days ago and noticed my Surface was running hot even while idling, and I figured that maybe new things were still being updated. I don't suspect that's the case anymore since it has
    been over two days.

In the Task Manager, while idling, ~30% of my CPU was being used on Service Host: Local Systems. My battery life has halved.

What, if anything, can I do to cut down the Service Host: Local Systems?

    Thanks,

    Amar Zafar

Service Host Local System - App Info service by netsvcs using 20-25percent cpu on idle.

    Service Host: Local System

I've found this to be related to the Windows Mail app.

I have one Exchange 2010 SP3 RU10 on-prem mailbox and two Office365 mailboxes that I use on a regular basis. If I configure all 3 of these accounts in the Windows Mail app, the "Service Host: Local System" process continuously uses 20-30% CPU.

If I remove the Exchange 2010 mailbox, utilization returns to normal.
