Service Host: Windows Event Log Using a Lot of Disk Space

Service Host: Windows Event Log is using 50% to 80% of my disk space and is bogging down my computer. Through some research I found somewhere that showed me how to verify the repository in cmd and it came back with and error 0x80041003I tried following these instructions: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/wmi-error-0x80041003/1255ba2e-b8c7-480f-9307-9751fcf06046 but there was a long list of command responses stating "Access Denied" after step "i" C:\WINDOWS\system32>del c: \ Windows \ System32 \ wbem \ Repository \ *.* C:\Windows\System32\*, Are you sure Y/N? y C:\Wi

Disk usage 100% constantly.. "Service Host: Windows Event Log" seems to be the culprit.

Recently, my disk usage has constantly been at 100% in Task Manager. Computer is generally decent, but is slow to open everything. I re-sorted the list and saw that a process called "Service Host: Windows Event Log" was hogging a lot of
    resources.

    Like.. a lot.

I'm not completely stupid when it comes to using technology, so I popped open the Event Viewer to see what was up. In the
Application log, I'm constantly getting an "Information" event with the
event ID of 1001. It fills up almost all the log.

The details from this event are as follows:

    Code:
    Fault bucket , type 0

    Event Name: AppxDeploymentFailureBlue

    Response: Not available

In the [b]System[/b] log, I constantly get event

7031 Details: "The WMIs service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service."

7024 Details: "The WMIs service terminated with the following service-specific error: The system cannot find the path specified."

After digging around the Application log some more, it seems that I'm missing a "wlanext.exe". However, DISM and SFC don't notice this, so what am I supposed to do?

  3. Event ID 2013 Low disk space

the link seems to be inserted incorrectly.

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters

    Data type REG_DWORD

    Range 0–99 (percent)

    Description

Specifies the percentage of disk space that must remain free for use. If the percentage of free space falls below the value of this entry, then the Server service records the following event in the System Log in Event Viewer:

"The <disk-letter> disk is at or near capacity. You might need to delete some files." (Srv Event ID 2013)

    If the value of this entry is zero, then the system does not check the percentage of free space on the disk;

Windows 10 Low Disk Space Event not being logged

    Hello,

Windows 10 is not logging Low Disk Space for D drive, used for videos storage, in Windows Event Log. I googled and it seems event should be with Event ID of 2013 but no such event is logged. I do get Windows notification about Low Disk in Notification Area but no event is logged. Initially, registry was missing 2 REG_DWORD which *should* enable this event to be logged. I programmed these in:

    LowDiskSpaceMinimum: 0x00a(10)
    DiskSpaceThreshold: 0x0190(400)

I restarted the computer and cold booted the PC a few times but still can't get event log to register Low Disk space event. I have searched for couple of days to figure this out but no luck. Right now there 0 Free Bytes on D drive. Could really use some help on this.

    Thanks
