  1. Service hosts are EATING up my memory

I am running Windows 11 version 24H2, I have 8 gb of ram and around 70-75%+ of my memory is used up by service hosts which makes it impossible to run anything. Even after a restart, the number never gets lower than that. Any help would be much appreciated as this was never an issue before and had only started recently in the past couple months. I have checked if I have any memory leak, and nothing came up.

    :)

  2. Service host eating my RAM

I'm currently using a Huawei Matebook 13, it has 8 gigs of RAM and it runs pretty well, but I've faced a single, big problem with it. The RAM usually overloads and collapses after some usage time, which makes everything start crashing, making me force
restarting my laptop. I've confirmed that the only reason for this is the service host tasks eating 1-1.5% of the RAM each, today I just turned on the computer and left it like that, without running anything, after a few hours I checked the task manager and
the RAM was at a 90% usage, with a couple tasks from service host eating up to 2% of the RAM, plus the other 40-50 service host tasks eating over 1% each. I've already searched a lot about this and I haven't been able to solve it. Also, I have just a few startup
tasks, so I really don't think that's the problem.

Service hosts are EATING up my memory

Service Host: Inventory and Compatibility Appraisal Service is eating up all the available memory

After updating my Windows11 a few days ago, the Service Host: Inventory and Compatibility Appraisal Service starts eating up all the available memory. It slowly uses more and more memory until it reaches 99% at which point browsers and other programs cannot function anymore and shuts down. It practically makes the machine unusable. I have tried shutting the Service Host down, but am unable to. I even doubled my RAM fram 16GB to 32GB just to see if it eventuallt hit a lower roof, but alas, it still goes up to 99%. It just takes longer to get there. I have searched the internet for solutions but the problem does not seem to have been addressed ever, so I suspect it to be a problem associated with the latest Windows Update. Can anyone offer me a temporary solution until the bug gets fixed in the system?

    Thanks

    Ken
