Windows 10: Service.msc not working

MMC cannot open the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.msc This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was created by a later version of MMC . This may also because you dont have sufficient access right to this file.Please help to solve this problem

No printers work after Windows 10 anniversary update

Since you have reinstalled the drivers from HP several times, we would suggest that try to check if the print spooler dependency services are running.

Here are some steps for you to follow:

• Click Start, type services.msc and hit Enter.
• Scroll down to Print spooler.
• Right click and click properties, click the tab “Dependencies”
• Note all of the dependent services listed, and then close the Print Spooler Properties window.
• Repeat the above steps for the dependent services noted.

I went through this yesterday. There was one of the dependencies turned off. I turned it on and tried printing and received the same immediate error. I then rebooted my laptop and it still didn't work.

I appreciate you helping me troubleshoot.

Search and Indexing troubleshooter.

Follow the steps below and check if it helps.

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.

  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.

  Run the Search and Indexing
