    Hi, as the title says, the services app crashes on launch.I ran sfc/scannnow and actually it said it couldn't fix things.I had just resetted my pc fresh so this is surprising.I should mention that i resetted from a japanese verison of the OS i had set all the languages to english abd that i resetted the PC with english as a language.     SFC Finds Corrupt Files but is Unable to Fix


    When you get this error it means that the System File Check a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection simply could add/repair missing or corrupted files or other problems with these files.

    If you get this error you should try the following a few times:
    • sfc/scannow
    • reboot
    • sfc/scannow
    Only when after a few times sfc/scannow still hasn't solved it, then you could try DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.

    A reboot is necessary for sfc in order to try to fix the problems, it usually takes a few tries for sfc to solve the problems.

    SFC scannow not working but verify only is working

    there is no problem in chkdsk I've checked When I select command prompt and sfc scannow from f8 and repair.. it shows that a reboot is required for pending repair and pending renames folder in winsxs is full of files.. what should I do??

    I ran sfc /scannow on my Windows 10 desktop and got the response below:

    Beginning verification phase of system scan.

    Verification 100% complete.

    Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

    For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at

    windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline

    repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.

    Did not find any "log" from the directions above.
