Windows 10: services.msc help

I installed a gamevalorant there is an anticheat that won't download i saw some tutorials. They all said to go to win+r and then type services.msc. I click on vgcthe anti cheat thing then i press start but it wont start, there comes an error 1: incorrect function. i looked online and saw you have to go to registeredit. i have tried this but the error still pops up any suggestions

Method 1: I suggest you to run Windows update troubleshooter.

Try the followings steps:

• 
  Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter.
  
• 
  Click “View All"
  
• 
  Select "Windows update"
  
• 
  Click next to run the troubleshooter.
  

Method 2: I suggest you to make sure if the following services are started in Services. msc

• 
  Press Windows+ R keys to open Run Window.
  
• 
  Type services.msc and hit enter
  
• 
  Make sure the following services are set to Start and Automatic.
  
• 
  Background Intelligence transfer
  
• 
  Windows update
  
• 
  Cryptographic Service

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
