Windows 10: Session Password set as a 1 spacebar

Hello

I was trying to remove my session login password, I didn't saw the option to deactivate the password so I edited the password with a new one.

The new password was just a blank space (hit 1 time the space bar)

I restarted to see the effects ... I can't log anymore now ... It sill ask to put a password
I just type the space bar and then enter but Windows refuse the connection ...

What can I do ?

MSCONFIG diagnostic startup. How to get out?

Are you on a logon screen? Pressing the spacebar doesn't allow a password prompt? You don't have a password?

If you are in safe mode, start msconfig.exe and change the settings.

First, confirm the correct password is getting entered with some simple checks before resorting to more extreme measures:

  Verify the keyboard layout wasn’t changed during the upgrade, causing you to enter unexpected characters when typing. Press the Windows Key and the Spacebar at the same time to check the keyboard language and layout. While holding

  From another device, verify that you can successfully sign into

First I would just try hitting enter, no spaces.

Next I assume this is a local account and there is no other admin account. (When you get this solved I would create another admin account so you "Have a second set of keys".)

Before proceeding are you using any disc encryption / bitlocker? These processes very well will cause loss of data.

You could use option 4 in this tutorial to enable the built in Administrator account. From there you could reset your password to your local admin account.

I also came across this process. I've seen similar threads on the Internet but I have not followed this process myself ​so it may be better to use tutorial. It looks straight forward enough. If used you need to reset the utilman.exe that it has you overwrite.

The process assumes that when you boot from media your Windows drive letter, on your HDD or SSD, becomes d:.

You can confirm this before you start the process by entering the command diskpart, when diskpart starts enter list volume, confirm your windows drive letter, then enter exit.
