    Hi Anthony,

We suggest you to schedule a restart instead, after downloading Windows update. To do that, follow the steps below:

    • Windows icon.
    • Type Settings.
    • Click Update and Security.
    • Click Advanced options.
    • On Choose how update are installed, click the drop down button. See the screenshot below:

  3. Persistent Blue Screen Errors with Timestamped Event Log Details

I've been grappling with persistent blue screen errors on my system, and to understand the root cause, I've been closely monitoring the Event Log Viewer. What's particularly concerning is that these errors seem to be occurring consistently at specific times. Here's a breakdown of the errors along with their corresponding timestamps:

    11:56:10 AM

    • Error: MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS (Event ID: 8317)
    11:55:46 AM

    • Error: DistributedCOM (Event ID: 10010)
    11:53:52 AM

    • Error: volmgr (Event ID: 45)
    • Error: Eventlog (Event ID: 1101)
    • Critical: Kernel-Power (Event ID: 41)
    11:29:35 AM

    • Error: MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS (Event ID: 8317)
    11:27:14 AM

    • Error: volmgr (Event ID: 45)
    11:09:02 AM

    • Error: MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS (Event ID: 8317)
    10:58:30 AM

    • Critical: WinREAgent (Event ID: 4502)
    10:52:51 AM

    • Error: MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS (Event ID: 8317)
    10:52:34 AM

    • Error: DistributedCOM (Event ID: 10010)
    10:50:32 AM

    • Error: volmgr (Event ID: 45)
    • Critical: Kernel-Power (Event ID: 41)
    10:44:44 AM

    • Error: Volsnap (Event ID: 36)
This pattern suggests a systemic issue rather than isolated incidents. Despite my attempts at troubleshooting, these errors persist. Any insights into resolving these timestamped errors and mitigating the blue screen crashes would be immensely helpful. Thank you for your assistance!ry

    Windows 10 timestamps

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I can understand, how frustrating it can be, when things don’t work as expected.

I'd be glad to help you.

Please answer the queries, mentioned below:

    • Were you able to install Windows 10 successfully?

    • Did you check, if it is present in Windows.old folder?

    • Where exactly are you trying to check, if the TimeStamps are present?
I would suggest you to follow these steps below to retrieve files manually from Windows.old folder and check, if it helps.

    • Enter This PC in the search box, and then click on
This PC in the search results.
    • Double-tap or double-click the drive that Windows is installed on (typically, the C: drive).
    • Double-tap or double-click the Windows.old folder.
    • Double-tap or double-click the Users folder.
    • Double-tap or double-click your user
      name.
    • Open the Windows.old folder that contain the files you want to retrieve.
    • Copy and paste the files that you want from
      Windows.old
folder to a folder in Windows 10.
    • Repeat steps 5-7 for each user account on your PC.

Please feel free to contact us if you face any issues with Windows.

    Thank you.
