  1. Set Firefox as default .pdf reader

I used to use Firefox as my default .pdf reader. Somehow, the default app was changed to Evernote. When I went to Default App Settings for .pdf files, Edge of course, Chrome, and Opera were listed as options but not Firefox. How do I add Firefox as an option for my default app?

    :)

    default pdf reader

Hi dalchina, he knows that. He did set Foxit as default PDF Reader in default apps. Read the opening post. But even after you do that, Firefox still opens PDF files using its own PDF Reader.

So, if you dont want to use the PDF Reader built in Firefox and use Foxit instead, you have to disable the Firefox PDF Reader first. Thats what you get when you change "pdfjs.disabled", to true in about:config.

After that, he needs to go to Firefox Options/General, scroll down to Files and Applications, and for PDF File, Select an option. I like"Always Ask" because it opens a pop up when you click on a PDF in a web page, the pop up gives the options to save or open the PDF. If you are using Firefox, is easy to check, create a new profile and test.

  3. Default PDF reader

    Hello

I have an N97 Mini, bought SIM free. I use it as a mobile office.

    Two problems:

I have installed a freeware PDF reader, and the trial version of Adobe Acrobat (now expired) came with the phone (I think - it may have installed when I bought a license for Quickoffice). I have set the freeware PDF reader as the default (Settings>Phone>Application
Settings>Default apps.>Options>Advanced Options>) but it resets back to the trial Adobe app. I want the Freeware PDF reader to stick as the default reader.

Also, I'd like to remove the Adobe Acrobat trial, but I can't find a way todo this.

    Suggestions, please!

    Thanks.

Set Firefox as default .pdf reader

Why can I not allocate firefox as default app for opening pdf's

    Hello again,

In Firefox the "Preview in Firefox" is set for pdf.

Adobe flash is installed (Setting -> Apps) but no reader.

In Win10 - as I previously wrote - Firefox does not appear in the pdf list at all ..just thunderbird which seems a bit strange
