Windows 10: Set Hiragana as Default when switching to Japanese Keyboard instead of Romaji

I want to open up again this discussion from 2014 Japaneses IME in hiragana by default - Microsoft Community and this one from 2022 https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/japanese-keyboard-hiragana-as-default/e29ff0c4-7f42-4ec8-9bb3-cdf3a8f1c0f210 years later, we are in 2024, chat GPT is capable of predicting my bowel movements based on how many fiber I ate while wearing red socks in July BUT it is still not possible to have a simple default options/settings when you push Alt + Shift to make hiragana the default Japanese keyboard. I beg you Microsoft please explain me the comple

To whom it concerns,

"Hiragana – Ctrl+Caps

Katakana – Alt+Caps

Romanji – Shift+Caps"

[no "n" in Romaji]

The startup default is Romaji, however, this is not the default writing system in Japanese. This is especially annoying for us that switch back and forth >100 times a day. We ask that the default for the Japanese keyboard is the ability to start typing in the native language, which by design, is hiragana format. We are expending unnecessary time going from Win + Space -> Alt + Cap Lock, typing out info then translating, Win + Space, English translation, then Win + Space -> Alt + Cap Lock again just to return back to previous settings. Again we find this extremely annoying and there is a high demand to have a proper solution for this negative user experience.

 

Japanese Keyboard Hiragana as default

it seems that nothing changed since 2014 and we still cannot have hiragana set as default on the Japanese keyboard. When one changes from LaguangeX-Keyboard to Japanese-Keyboard it automatically goes to Japanese-Romanji option. One can change to Japanese-Hiragana keyboard by using the mouse to change it on the menu or press ctrl+capslock. But, I am pretty sure that for Japanese speakers (native and foreigners) the default layout should be Japanese-Hiragana.

Moreover, if I am using, for example MS-Word in Japanese-Hiragana, and click in any other screen/program, the keyboard layout changes it to Japanese-Romanji. When I go back to MS-Word, the Japanese-Romanji is there.

Does anyone knows how to fix it? To set the Japanese keyboard as Hiragana by default?

 

Japanese IME - default mode

Why is there no way to set default mode to input romaji into hiragana? I hate switching keyboards and then having to press ALT+~ to switch between hiragana and the useless English keyboard mode. I do not want to type in English when I am using the Japanese
keyboard mode. WHY CAN'T I SET HIRAGANA AS DEFAULT?
