  1. set lockscreen timeout using gpedit.msc does not work why not?

I have Windows 11 home with latest updates. Installed gpedit.msc and tried to set lockscreen timeout using gpedit.msc. It doesn't change the timeout from 1 minute to any other value. any ideas on how to fix this, if at all possible, will be greatly appreciated. *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

I can't set a slideshow in the Lock Screen and one of the Microsoft suggestions to use gpedit msc didn't work

I can't set up a slideshow for the lock screen. I can select a picture from the computer or I can select one of the Windows 10 standard pictures. If I select slideshow it doesn't change the PREVIEW and when the computer is inactive I get a black screen.

One of the suggestions made by Microsoft in response to this problem in another post was to run gpedit msc. I have tried this or gpedit.msc or gpedit and in all cases the message I get is gpedit or gpedit.msc or gpedit msc "is not recognised as an
internal or external command, operable program or batch file"

How do I fix the lock screen problem or invoke the local group policy editor?

Domain Win10 device timeout to lockscreen despite settings

I'm having an issue finding what is enforcing timeout-to-lockscreen on a domain Win10 version 1909. Here is what I have done so far:

    - Per our GPO administrators, no policy is currently active on the device that would cause the timeout

    - In Power Options>Edit Plan Settings>Advanced Settings, performed the associated registry tweaks to show Display>Console lock display off timeout and Sleep>System unattended sleep timeout. I set both settings to 99999 minutes.

    - In Power Options>Edit Plan Settings>Advanced Settings, Hard Disk>Turn off hard disk after is set to 99999 minutes, Sleep>Sleep after and >Hibernate after are both set to Never, and Display>Turn off display after is set to Never

    - No screensaver is enabled

What settings could be overruling all of these to force the device to lockscreen after 15 or so minutes?

    Thanks
