    Set Network Location to Private or Public in Windows 10

    Brink, I followed your link to Download Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File), and when my IDM captured the download, I found 'Resume capability' is Yes. I think IDM does nothing with 'Resume capability'. However, Resume capability is according to the server on which Windows Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File) is installed

    Moreover, The worst thing with the MS Media Creation Tool is it cannot support 'Resume capability'. However, the excellent thing with the MS Media Creation Tool is it can allow me to download multi-architecture(32 and 64-bit), and Pro and Home Edition in one download. Could I find a direct link of Downloading Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File) in both 32/64 -bit and both editions Pro, and Home?

    Hadramawt,

    I'm not aware of an official multi 32/64 ISO download other than from the MS Media Creation Tool unless you have a MSDN subscription.

    Thanks a lot, Brink, for your quick reply.
    Firstly: You previously told me "I'm just not aware of a download resume for a Windows 10 ISO'. However, I followed your link 'Windows 10 - Upgrade Installation' to Download Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File), and when my IDM captured the download, I found 'Resume capability' is Yes. I think IDM does nothing with 'Resume capability'. However, Resume capability is according to the server on which Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File) is installed

    Secondly do you know any way to let the MS Media Creation Tool to be started the download from where it left off if it was terminated for an electricity outage?

    Finally: in your screen shots posted by me previously, I found that you didn't select 'both version'. However, you selected 64-bit. Why?

    Q1) If IDM works to resume for you, then you should use that option.

    Q2) I'm not aware of a way.

    Q3) You can select whatever you want in the MS Media Creation Tool. What I had selected was just an example.

    Thanks a lot, Brink,
    Yes, But, I think IDM does nothing with 'Resume capability'. However, Resume capability depends on whether the server on which Windows 10 Disc Image (ISO File) is uploaded can support resume or not?
    I now found the answer for my question asked to you before "Why there are no ones having high internet speeds and uploading the Windows 10 latest version ISO files on a server supporting resume possibility? So, they will do a favor for those who have always an electricity outage "

    Set Network Location to Private or Public in Windows 10

    Why does Windows 10 change my network from private to public, every time I turn off the capability to make my pc discoverable?

    Basically, I want to keep the PC Discovery "Off" while in "Private Network". And Windows 10 is not allowing it. I go into the "Change Advanced Sharing Settings" and select Homegroup to change to Private Network, when I'm home. But the option on the Windows 10 Network Properties window still indicates "On", for making the PC Discoverable. And when I turn it off, the network immediately changes from Private to Public...Argh!!

    Please help...thank you.

    What type of network connection do you have?

    If you have network discovery turned on in Option One at that link, it should let you turn it off/on using Option 2/3 without affecting the network location. At least it does for me on my laptop with a Wi-Fi connection.

    @Brink

    Every time I want to change my Network to "Private", Windows 10 asks me if I "want to allow my PC to be discoverable by other PC's and devices on this network". I am at home and would like to use the "Private" setting without having my PC discoverable, but it's not allowing that. So literally, everytime I change to a Private network and select "off" for "discovery", it shifts back to a Public network. It says "We recommend doing this on your home and work networks, but not on public ones." And if I select "No", it won't change. Only if I select "Yes", will it then change to a "Private" Network...but this makes my PC "discoverable", which is what I don't want...even at home.

    @Brink

    I went ahead and selected "Always Notify" for UAC in Option 1, and it removed the "Make this PC Discoverable" setting. But...does that wipe out the whole setting, or does it only make the option "blind" (meaning, my PC is still technically "Discoverable", but it's just not visible)?
