Windows 10: Set startup and home page in Google chrome using gpo

Hello .Can any one let me know how to setup url to open default on chrome startup and set home page to open same url using gpo I have applied the admx template and configured settingsEnable the item named Action on startup.Select the option to open a list of URLsAnd URLs to open on startup.Still it does not work.Can any one help how can this be done and troubleshooted.Regards.Rakesh

Windows Chrome Startup Page GPO Issue

I am currently working in IT and I am trying to push out a GPO to run Chrome on a Mac Mini (late 2014) that has Windows 10, 1803 running through BootCamp. My GPO works fine for another test computer (Dell Optiplex 7010) that has the same version of chrome
and is running Windows 10, 1803 as well. Before I recommend that we get Dell Small Form Factors I want to make sure that I do all I can to make it work on these Mac Minis. The Part of the GPO that runs chrome opens up chrome in Kiosk mode just fine. The only
thing that doesn't work is the Startup Page won't go to the URL that I want it to. It just opens up the google browser.

-I have done and compared GPResults on both and there are no differences, everything sees to apply equally.

-I have also run group policy results in configuration manager and it came up with no errors.

-I did make sure that the clock between the Mac and the Windows 10 Bootcamp are the same

I am running out of ideas and would love to hear any that you have. I am looking for any Windows side solutions in this forum and am posting the same thing in Apple's forum. Of course anything helps!

GPO is not applying in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.

My Laptop is used by a child user. So I wanted to control the user account by using group policy editor.

• I wanted to disable Inprivate window in Microsoft Edge and Incognito mode in Google chrome.
• I wanted to install an extension Blocksi in Chrome without the knowledge of the child.

But GPO is not applying in both.

I did tried gpupdate in cmd as administrator.

I was able to disable Inprivate window using regedit.msc. But not in chrome.

Need an expert help.

Hi,

Since you already uninstalled Google Chrome using the Programs and Features, Google notifications may still be running in the background processes. We suggest that you follow these steps on how to end the Google Chrome process:

• On your keyboard, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
• Select Task Manager.
• Under Processes, locate Google Notifications or Google Chrome.
• Right click on them and select End Task.
• Double check under Programs and Features if Google Chrome is completely gone.

Let us know if these steps worked.
