Windows 10: Set up Charter email?

Having an issue with setting up my Charter email account. I cannot find what the server setting should be..it lists only 1 box for server and not an outgoing or incoming as I am used to seeing. My Charter account is what I use for Microsoft so it wont let me delete it and start over. Has anyone set up a charter account successfully?

outlook email unlink accounts

I believe it is Microsoft outlook as it is the mail button on the windows screen. I have charter email and yahoo all connected to it. Charter and the outlook appear to be the same address though not the same as the charter box I also have listed. I know
this is confusing. I think when we set it up at the store we used my charter as my primary and I added the yahoo later using their instructions. I may have a second listing of the same charter on the list of accounts though it is the same email address.

 

Printing through USB port on my router

I have two computers that currently print to a printer connected to the USB port of my Charter Cable Company provided router. One computer runs W7 and the other W10.

The printer shows as, HP Photosmart on http://192.168.1.1:631

Been working fine since the cable company set it up that way last January, I now have a new (3rd) computer running W10 and cannot for the life of me get this printer to configure as above. I called Charter twice getting two different "techs" and neither
has a clue. Both recommend I call HP or Microsoft! Yet Charter set it up this way initially!!!!

Any help greatly appreciated.

The problem is their are no boxes anywhere to input all of that..it only gives me a space that says "server" no incoming or outgoing or port number.

 

Suggestion :
Install Windows Live Mail as your email client > configure Charter email account into WLM.

WLM is one of the programs included in Windows Essentials. You have a choice of which program you want or don't want.

Whichever email client you use it will have the boxes for you to input the information above.........

 

Are you talking about the built in mail app?

For a new account:
Go to mail > settings > Accounts > Add Account. On the "Choose account" box scroll to the bottom and select "Advanced Setup"

For existing account:
Go to mail > settings > Accounts > <pick your account> Change mailbox and sync settings > Advanced mailbox settings

Then to enter the port numbers you put them in this format (with a : after the server name). This is for gmail so you'd want to change the server names/ports etc
