Windows 10: Set up Windows 10 device without restoring settings wallpaper, colours, languages...

When I reset my Surface Go, after I set it up, some settings I used before restore. I noticed at least wallpaper and colours settings.

How can I prevent that?

I turned off synchronization of settings on all my active devices also on the Surface before I reset it, but settings used sometime earlier restore.

Can all these backed up setting be deleted somehow or at least not restored any more?

Language settings set UK but spell check uses US

Win 10 Home. ver 1909 build 18363.476

I have language settings set to default English UK in the language section of settings - time and language.

However when I type an email in Gmail it spell checks to US language e.g. colour suggests color.

Is there another setting somewhere I have missed?

In Windows 10 you have to download different languages like Spanish French etc. and add to keyboard. Every time you want to change language you can use the short cur
Windows key + Space bar.

Follow the steps below to download language in Windows 10.

• Click on Start menu and select Settings.
• Click on Time and language; Click on Region and Language.
• Under Language click on Add language.
• Choose the language from the list and click on it.

Refer the step to setup Keyboard for language.

• Click on Language and tap/click on Options.
• Click on Add a Keyboard.

Windows 8.1 update changed the language, can't change back

Maybe, these will help... it seems it is a common enough problem.

Language packs are no longer available after you upgrade to Windows 8.1
