  1. Set Wallpaper on 2nd Monitor to "Stick" when Dis-/Re-connected

I have a laptop, which I routinely move, and a monitor on my desk. I'd like different wallpapers on each; easy enough to accomplish with Right Click, "Set for Monitor X". However, when I disconnect then reconnect the monitor, the wallpaper defaults to the laptops monitor.

Is there a way to set that monitor to maintain that different background? Or a quick way to automatically set it on connect (like a script)?

  2. i have a problem to connect 2 monitors.

    Hi Ron,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    • What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
    • How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
I suggest you to follow the steps from this article below:

[Applies to Windows 10 as well]

    Regards.

  3. How to display different slideshow wallpapers (backgrounds) on each monitor

I followed those steps. When right-clicking on the image to select a monitor, I get:

    • Set for all monitors
    • Set for monitor 4
    • Set for monitor 4
    • Set for monitor 4
    • Set for monitor 4

Set Wallpaper on 2nd Monitor to "Stick" when Dis-/Re-connected

    Dual monitor separate wallpapers

I am trying to get different wallpapers on both of my monitors however when i right click the images in settings 3 options come up, one saying set for all monitors, and the other two say set for monitor 2, there is no set for monitor 1 option in the list.
