Windows 10: Setpoint software will not install, blocked and Logitech says it is a Microsoft issue....

Please help me install this valuable app to enable user controls on the Wave keyboard. The software starts to open then ends. User security is the issue and it is my computer! I tried all the steps...Please help.

might I suggest a new pinned thread for the Options Software too ( updated Aug 20th) since all Newer Logitech Products use it.
Eg Mx2, M510 and most other products with a Unifying receiver including Keyboards etc

Logitech setpoint software and win10; what a mess

Hi,

Please follow the steps below to check your Logitech k/m combo issue:

1) Uninstall the device through Device Manager.

2) Run the Scan for hardware changes. On the Device Manager Tool Bar, click the
fifth icon (Scan for hardware changes).

3) Follow the instructions.

Note: Scan for hardware changes does not reinstall a Plug and Play device if a driver is already installed on the computer. If the device has not been uninstalled,
Scan for hardware changes does not detect the connection of the device as a change. You must uninstall a Plug and Play device for Windows to start an installation when you connect the device again.

Let us know how it goes.

Trust me when I say this, 50 times doing the suggested method.

Ran the show hide updates tool, did not find anything to hide.

When I first setup a logitech kb 360 on a pc I ran the insider previews from march 2015 there were no unified reciver drivers for win10.

The logitech setpoint software had the drivers in the package.

Now MS detects the reciver and automaticly installs it.

Updating the driver in device manager fails because the installed driver is the best for the device, even when trying to point to the logitech folder.

Uninstalling logitech setpoint does not remove the windows drivers any longer when it used to fall back to a basic driver.

Going to try some other things when I get time.
