My version of Windows 10.0.19044 Build 19044 I installed a PDF reader program and immediately discovered I couldn't find it to set it as the default for .pdf files.After some research and far more messing around compared with Windows 10 Pro, and earlier versions of Windows, I found an unbelievably convoluted method of setting my program as the default.This is the procedure I discovered...First get the program on the "Open with" listLook for your file to open in File Explorer Right click and select "Open with" Select "Choose another app" Scroll down and select "More apps" Scroll down and select

How do I set Maple as a default programme when it does not appear in the list of programmes, even though its .exe file appears under Program Files in the directories Maple15 and Maple16.

Failing that how do I set a default programme for .mw files when this extension does not appear in the list, even thought it is a valid extension for Maple programmes.
