Windows 10: Setting a GPO in server 2016 to replace the shutdown/restart button with the logoff one

Hi everyone,

i'm searching a GPO in my Active directory controller to replace the shutdown button in windows 10 PCs. I have already founded the GPO that prevent the shutdown and that is a good option, but i want to completely replace it.


Is it possible?

Restart through USOOrchestrator-Service ignores any GPO-Shutdown-settings

If you update your Windows (10/2016) through the new interface, at the end, there's a "Restart Now"-button. If you click that, the USOOrchestrator-Service initiates a Restart, thereby ignoring any configured GPO-Shutdown-settings such as a shutdown script.
If you don't click that button, but initiate a Restart yourself manually, e.g. shutdown /r /t 0, the shutdown-script runs. This is really cumbersome, as you want a shutdown-script to always run, regardless of how a user initiates a shutdown/restart.... Please
fix this in a future-update!

 

Windows Security Screen shutdown/restart with GPO

Running Win 10 Pro as admin and using GPO for standard users to limit shutdown/restart/hibernate option. GPO restriction works everywhere it should but on Windows Security screen where Power Button is still functional. Could this be a bug? Am an experienced
GPO user. Have already done SFC and dism as well as Disabled/Not Configured and re Enabled GPO option. Any suggestions? Appreciate any help. Thank you.

I have installed the latest ADMX from microsoft.com to my server 2016 "policydefinitions" folder.

All settings have been enabled for bitlocker to auto-encrypt by GPO yet it does not work. This was working with previous builds of Windows however it seems with the new build it is not.

I have also enabled for software encryption to be allowed incase of hardware encryption not being possible.

When doing RSOP it displays all settings are being applied on the laptop.

Any pointers?
