Windows 10: Setting a network Private that doesn't show up in Settings / How to make it show up?

So, I have 3+2 network adapters in total:Mellanox ConnectX-2 Ethernet Adapter -..> This is the main local network, always active, currently set to Public by default, called "Ethernet 2" by default.IntelR Ethernet Controller 2 I225-V ---> This one has its port unplugged 99.9% of the time, currently not connected. It's called "Ethernet" by default.IntelR Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz ---> This one is "turned off" 99.9% of the time, currently not connected.VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter --> Totally irrelevant now VirtualBox isn't running.Bluetooth Device Personal Area Network

Set Network Location to Private or Public in Windows 10

I tried what you suggested but when doing this, i noticed that whenever i am connected to my VPN, the Windows network shows up as "unidentified network" instead of network 1,2,3 or whatever. So when i went into regedit and looked for networks, i found some but none called unidentified.
There was one network with the value 0 so i changed it to 1 (private) but after checking, my VPN connection still shows as public.

I am not really sure why it says unidentified network in Windows when i am connected to the VPN but it seems that this is the cause for the problem. If i could only find the VPN network in the list of networks in regedit, i think i would be able to change the value to 1.

Hmm..not sure how to proceed with this. Any ideas?

Could you tell me how to make my pc forget a connection?
When I connect to the modem (just a modem, no router), by plugging in the ethernetcable it automatically connects, and doesn’t ask for any configuration of any kind.

I’ve tried the first 3 options of the tutorial, but non seem to work. When clicking on said network it doesn’t show an option in the settings to click private, public or domain (see pic)

When going through the Local Security Policy it doesn’t show the network in de Network List Policy, just All Networks. And when I click on that it just shows me User Permissions, no options for private, public or domain (see pic)

In the Registry Editor, Network List, Profiles I’ve set the Category DWORD value to 1 for private, but it doesn’t fix it (see pic)
