    Setting "Show recent searches when I hover over the search icon" not available in Windows 11


    Setting "Show recent searches when I hover over the search icon" is not present in Taskbar settings/Taskbar behaviors, Windows 11 Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000.The goal is to not show recent searches when I hover over ... I created a regedit entry, haven't checked if it works but would in any case like to use the settings rather than interfere with the registry for trivial reasons like this.Please let me know how to disable the "show recent searches...", via the settings or otherwise.Please do not share advice like "go to settings/personalisation/taskbar/taskbar behaviors, because this settin

    Hi,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the settings to show the search icon.


    • Right click on the search bar

    • Click on search

    • Check show search icon

    Strange Almost Invisible Box When I Hover Over The Search Icon

    This is a problem I've been having for around a week now, I recently switched to windows 11 and this has been bugging me ever since.

    Basically, every time I hover over the search icon, once it shows me my recent searches, once I click on one of the things on it or just stop hovering over it, this box appears on my screen. It's barely there but it's so annoying as I can't click on anything that is under the box. It only shows the outline of it too, and because the box is on top of the search icon, I can't use it afterwards. Any solutions?
