  1. Setting Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair through...

I am trying to set the value of this local policy to "Enabled" and as well "Download repair content and optional features directly from Windows Update instead of Windows Server Update Services WSUS". The target is to set these values through the PowerShell Failed Trials I followed most of the articles that suggested adding the two keys LocalSourcePath and RepairContentServerSource under this path in the registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Servicing" I monitored the registry and noticed there is a key "Group Policy Objects" created only when you o

  2. Windows 10 pro optional components will not install

    Hi Micah,

Your concern regarding the Windows 10 Pro components not installing on your device can be caused by improper settings or corrupted system files. To effectively assist you with your concern, we'd like to ask the following:

    • Which Windows build version is running on your device? Type
winver in the search box and press Enter to help you identify.
    • Which component are you trying to install/enable?
    • Are you getting any error messages when installing/enabling these components?
    • Have you made any changes on your device prior to your concern?

Meanwhile, you can follow the steps provided on this support article on how to install or enable
    Hyper-V on Windows 10.

We'll appreciate if you can send us an update.

Some Applications (Settings, Windows Store) Crashes

    Hi Devlin,

    Good day!

Thanks again for your patience and assistance on this issue.

I tried the steps you mentioned to install and access Group Policy on my Windows 10 Home. I got it installed but I wasn't able to find the policy named "Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair" mentioned
in the steps in .NET Framework 3.5 installation errors - Windows Client, specifically Step 2 (Configure the Group Policy as in Method 2).

I attached a screenshot of my Group Policy. Notice that there's no "Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair".
