Setting up dual AMD GPUs (A10-6800K APU and XFX HD6670 PCIe card)

I am building a new PC - components arriving over the next week. Going to be an MSI A78M-E45 V2 motherboard with AMD A10-6800K APU, 8 gb Crucial RAM (2x4 gb), and XFX HD-667X-CDFR 2 gb PCIe graphics card. AMD advertises dual GPU capability via Crossfire using both the GPU of the A10 processor and the HD-6670 PCIe card.

Has anyone setup anything like this in Windows 10 before? I'm planning on having to force install the AMD Catalyst 15.7 drivers and Catalyst Control Center, but I hope I can get a success story to boost my hopes!

    Thanks!

I'm using a bit older components because I wanted to stay under $300 and it should still be about 4x faster than my current PC.

    :)

I THINK I FOUND THE PROBLEM!!! (at least for my computer). Dual Graphics was causing an issue (when my AMD Radeon discrete GPU card was trying to work with my AMD A-Series APU). When I disabled dual graphics in Catalyst Control Panel, it worked. When
I reenabled it, it broke again. So I'm pretty sure it has something to do with that.

So I then completely uninstalled AMD Catalyst Control Panel and ALL AMD display drivers, reset the computer. The problem was again fixed but I had the generic Microsoft display adapter with horrible resolution. So I searched for hardware changes in Device
Manager, found the AMD/ATI Radeon graphics adapter I had, and then reinstalled the Catalyst Control Panel. I then used a trick I read about previously for how to use dual graphics with the discrete GPU card as the primary one instead of the APU (involves
changing BIOS setting to dual graphics when the monitor cable is attached to APU output, then disabling Dual Graphics in Catalyst control panel and turning machine off, plugging monitor cable to discrete GPU output instead and then turning the computer back
on, and then finally reenabling dual graphics in Catalyst Control panel, and KNOCK ON WOOD, it seems to have fixed the problem while also using my discrete GPU as the primary graphics card for those programs/games that won't support dual graphics).

I will update if it in fact breaks again, but this seems to have solved the problem for me. So if anyone else has an AMD A-Series APU with an additional discrete GPU graphics card, try disablilng dual graphics to see if this solves the problem.

Also, I had a heck of a time getting the most recent Windows 10-supported display drivers from AMD to install, but finally did (after I first fixed the missing button issue by disabling dual graphics though).

Is PCIE 1.1 a bottleneck for 2.0 GPUs?: I guess It probably depends on CPU and other things. My current card is a GT 710 (PCIE x8 2.0 card) and it runs in a PCIE x16 1.1 slot.
