Windows 10: Setting up Local Admin Account but limiting the devices where the privilege would be active...

Looking for an approach with Local Administrative Authority.We currently have users that have local admin defined for various program needs. Some of these devices are part of a shared pool. Managing them at an individual device level to assign a local admin is problematic. Looking for a solution with in AD and group policy to manage the varying devices and the local admins defined to them.Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks Scott...

To further assist you, kindly check if your credentials is set to
Admin. To set your credentials
to Admin, please follow the steps:

• 
  Go to
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Choose
  User Accounts.
  
• 
  Click on
  Change your Account type.
  

If the issue persists, we suggest you to create a
local Account and set it to Administrator. To create a local account, please click this
link and set it as Admin. Use the local account to run the Defragmentation.

Need help with Admin privileges

That's what puzzles me, I am logged-in as (my username) but still won't give me admin privileges. I checked under control panel/users amd it shows me as a local account. Tried to right click on CMD prompt but the "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR" doesn't show up

Is your PC connected to a domain network?

If your are connected to a domain network and yet facing this issue, I would suggest you to try the following steps and check:

Method1:

First, I would suggest you to try switching your User account from a Microsoft account to a local account and check if the issue persists. Click on 'Settings', click on 'Accounts' and then click on "sign in with a local account' in the "your accounts' section.
Restart the computer and switch back to a Microsoft account and check.

If the issue persists, try these steps and check:

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
• Click File > Run New Task
• Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• Type Powershell
• Type the following in the Powershell prompt:
  
  $manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest
  
• Close the Powershell window
• Reboot
