    Setting up Windows 10 on new PC Logo shows up then a blue screen appears and shortly after...


    Built my new PC and after turning it on it says reboot and select proper boot device, I then plug my USB with Windows 10 installed. I then restarted my PC and went to the BIOS and under the BOOT menu I selected the flashdrive. After that it proceeds to show windows logo then a blue screen then shuts down. How do I fix this problem?

    Windows 8 (well, 8.1) Asus logo

    In BIOS, boot settings, disable "show full screen logo on bootup". It will show a blank dark screen until Windows logo appears.

    Laptop loads to Windows 10 logo then blue screen and shuts off

    When you try to turn on and the Windows 10 logo appears followed by a blue screen, does the blue screen say anything?

    Does it say something like "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart, etc."
    If not, what does it say?

    Installation Hangs at Blue Windows Logo, Error Code C1900101-20017


    The BIOS update suggestion posted above by @Jegler helped me, @guhanath. I was on version 1.10 and updated to 1.90. The steps I took after that were just doing the official Windows 10 upgrade procedure.

    Then the Windows 10 installation went without a hitch, and I'm no longer on Windows 7. I'm going to consider this solved, thank you @Jelger for the suggestion to update the BIOS!
