Windows 10: Setting virtual memory for gaming and everyday use

Hey i just bought an SSD and set it up for gaming and everyday use since me and my father use the same laptop for work and study, so i have 8gb ram 2666MT/s while my max speed is 2666mhz so i have decided to use virtual memory to speed up this thing the main concern is, how do i set virtual memory? I have 3 partitions of HDD each 300gb and 3 partitions of SSD each of 300gb, so i have some quetions:1. will setting virtual memory on my SSD impact its usage and lifespan?2. If yes should i set the virtual memory on my HDD?3. is the virtual memory is slow on my HDD than on my SSD, by how much is it

We understand that you are experiencing issues related to virtual memory. There are times when Windows automatically allocates to virtual memory may not be sufficient for you to use certain software, in this case, you can try to set it manually:

1. Open System Properties:

• Right-click on "This computer" or "My computer" icon and select "Properties".
  

2. Access Advanced System Settings:

• In the System Properties window, click "Advanced System Settings" on the left side.
  

3. View the performance settings:

• Under the "Advanced" tab of the "System Properties" window, click "Settings" in the "Performance" section.
  

4. Open the virtual memory settings:

• In the "Performance Options" window, click on the "Advanced" tab, then locate the "Virtual Memory" section and click "Change". Click "Change".
  

Adjust the virtual memory to the size you want to use.

Virtual memory for games

Greetings,

I've got 4 gigs of ram on my laptop and I want more virtual memory for my games.

I got 2 partitions:

C for windows and software

D is for video games and some other stuff

For which drive do I set the virtual memory ? (C or D)

How much initial size and how much for maximum size ?

Running win10 home x64

 

Low Memory Warning - Virtual Memory Settings?

The only reason I mentioned this is SLI is currently a disaster on windows 10, crazy huge memory leaks, and using a single card setup there are still some minor memory issues as well.
