Windows 10: Setting windows pops up after user configuration GPO deployed

Hey, I don't know if this is the right place to ask. I'm having problems with a GPO that is designed to limit user ability to access certain settings in Windows 11. I recorded the problem as a video. the GPO has limitations on Network & Control Panel applied to User Configuration. in Windows 11, the setting window keeps popping up and is quite annoying. after 10-20 times it stops itself. Deploying Fonts via GPO or alternative method Windows Server

Hi Everyone,

We have recently purchased a package that contains fonts for the marketing team.

These need to be distributed throughout the organisation.

What is the best way to deploy this to every computer?

I've tried to follow a few GPO steps but it does not seem to work for me.

1. Edit 'Fonts Installation' GPO and navigate to: User Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Files

2. Create New File: Right click > New > File

3. In Source file(s), enter location of the file

4. In Destination File: C:\Windows\Fonts\Orkney Bold Italic.tff

5. Click OK

1. Navigate to User Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Registry

2. Create New Registry Item with the following attributes:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts

Value Name: [name of the font] (TrueType)

e.g. Orkney Bold Italic (TrueType)

Value type: REG_SZ

Value data: Orkney Bold Italic.ttf

3. Click OK

This does not seem to work for me.

I've managed to get the font to appear in the registry using the method above but it does not appear within the font selection itself?

 

GPOs linked to user OUs not appearing in Results Wizard

Hello, I'm noticing an issue in my domain where GPOs linked to user OUs are not being applied and not even appearing in the Group Policy Results Wizard report (neither under Applied GPO's nor Denied GPO's, like they don't exist at all).

A few clues:

• I did recently release June Windows updates including MS16-072. However, I was aware of the security processing change and all the related GPO's already had "Authenticated Users" with Read and Apply permission. I added "Domain Computers" to one GPO as a
  test but no luck.
• So far, issue is appearing on Windows 10 computers only. Computers are correctly processing GPO's linked to the computer's OU/hierarchy. A GPO containing loopback-processed user settings does appear under the user settings in the Results wizard, but that
  GPO is linked to a "computers" OU.
• If I link a "user" GPO to a "computers" OU, it appears in the Results Wizard under user settings. However, this is a drastic change in behavior and will interfere with desired outcomes such as a user having drives mapped to their department's files regardless
  of which computer they use.

Please advise, do I need to adjust some setting in Windows 10 to restore processing of GPO's linked to user OU's?

Network Printers deployed via GPO to computer randomly stop showing for users

We have had printers deployed via GPO from a print server for several years now. We push the policy to computer not user, so no matter who logins the printer will be there. Suddenly we are having computers randomly not show the printers at the client.
We are all win10 clients on a 08 domain level with a 2012 print server. We are using the generic HP PCL 6 driver, have had no issues until about August when printers randomly show and dont show for user. ex: user A logs on printer shows, may work for muliple
logins and may not. Relogin, reboot of client all have varying effects. We checked our policies, Auth Users have Read, DomainComputers have Read. We have gone through logs and finding typical errors that lead no where. Any others out there have recent issues
with GPO deployed printers?
