Windows 10: Settings app closes after a short amount of time

Hello. I am running windows 11, and the settings app closes after about 20 seconds of use. I don't know what to try, as it seems no one else has this issue.I don't know how to find the error messages.

We suggest that you check the date and time formats set on your computer. Here are the steps:

• Open Settings.
• Click on Time & language.
• Click on Date & time.
• Under format, click the Change date and time formats link.
• Use the Short name drop-down menu to select the date format you want to see in the Taskbar.
• Use the Short time drop-down menu to select the time format you want to see along with the date.
• Close Settings.

After these steps, see if the date will appear on the Taskbar.

Error: "Settings out of date" and unable to save the password for the app on Windows 10

• Are you referring to Office Outlook (Mail client version)/ Mail app/ Windows Live Mail?
• What is the complete error message/ error code of this issue?

If you are referring to Windows Mail app, let us try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to check if there are any updates for Mail app in Windows Store. If found try to update the app.

Step 2: I suggest you to run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter,
troubleshoots problems that may prevent Windows Store Apps from working correctly.

Step 3: I suggest you to check with the system Date, time and Time zone
is set correct.

Follow the steps to set the date and time:

• Type Date and Time in the search bar.

Short vs long time settings

I have Short Time set to HH:mm and Long Time set to HH:mm:ss. I want the long time to appear on my desktop but short time is what actually appears with my Windows 10. Is there any way to force the long time to appear or disable the short time for what
I want?
